And still it snows.....!!

Warning: More Snow = More Skiing!!

Ok I'm beginning to suspect that it just snows here all the time. Graeme is not kneeling in the above photo!! I have been assured by the locals that this is not the case, but it's hard to know who to believe?

It was quite wet here this morning, more sleet than snow and so we did our paperwork (aahhh GST returns are such fun aren't they?) and our french homework. Conjugating the verb "Etra" -and learning the months of the year - what fun!

So after lunch we drove up the road to Flaine about 2 minutes up the hill from Les Carroz. With the gain in altitude, the sleet turned to heavy snow. The technical term, we believe is - "puking". We had studied our map and we had a good plan where to tour. Given the amount of snow that had fallen overnight and this morning we thought we'd play it safe and ski low angle in the resort, where at the least the base layer had been consolidated. Despite, this the snow was knee deep and we had a great afternoon, finding different lines down the untracked piste of Les Carroz. No more words are necessary. Check out our little videos. Tomorrow we are off to a Megeve. Megeve is quite a "posh" ski resort in the main season. But they are doing a limited opening on Saturday and given the weather report, some sheltered tree skiing might be just the thing.

Enjoy the videos!! Apologies for the poor film quality our little camera is not quite up to it, but you'll get the idea!!
